HB 517- right to delegate- introduced by Rep. Steve Barrar, 10 co-sponsors
In order to secure your right to delegate to unlicensed personnel, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY contact your state Representatives and urge support of passage of House Bill 517 (click here to view HB 517).
The fallout from last summer’s State Farm v. Cavoto “delegation issue” decision has weighed heavily on most PA-licensed DCs, especially with PCA advising DCs to not delegate therapeutic exercise to unlicensed personnel, at least until a solution can be crafted. Now, there is a legislative and regulatory solution that all PA DCs need to vocally and visibly support.
On February 12, state Representative Steve Barrar (Delaware, Chester) introduced House Bill 517, co-sponsored by 10 other representatives: Austin Davis (D), Anthony DeLuca (D), Garth Everett (R), Barry Jozwiak (R), William Kortz (D), Jeanne McNeill (D), Jennifer O’Mara (D), Louis Schmitt (R), Justin Simmons (R) & Tarah Toohill (R).
