American Black Chiropractic Association
The purpose of the ABCA is to help recruit, encourage, and support black persons to study chiropractic. The organization encourages research and development of the sciences, philosophy, and art of chiropractic.
American Chiropractic Association

Association for the History of Chiropractic
The Association for the History of Chiropractic is an international association founded in 1980 to promote the scholarly recording of the chiropractic profession’s history. To fulfill its mission, the AHC publishes the journal Chiropractic History and books that are within its scope.
Association of Chiropractic Colleges
The Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) is comprised of accredited chiropractic educational programs in North America and affiliate member institutions worldwide. The ACC represents accredited chiropractic colleges in North America and seeks to advance chiropractic education, research and service. The ACC will support its member institutions in advancing chiropractic education, in graduating competent professionals, in conducting scholarly research, and in carrying out public service to enhance the health of the public.

The Chiropractic Summit was created in September 2007 in recognition of the profession’s desire for unity. The first Summit meeting, held in Washington, D.C., was comprised of 13 organizations; the Summit has some 40 members, representing leadership from education, research, regulatory bodies, political action, practice management, chiropractic media and national associations. Congress of Chiropractic State Associations (COCSA)
The Congress mission statement is to provide an open, nonpartisan forum for the advancement of the chiropractic profession through service to member state associations. Goals to support this mission are established each year at the annual board planning meeting.
Council on Chiropractic Education
The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) is the agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education for accreditation of programs and institutions offering the doctor of chiropractic degree.
Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP)
CCGPP has taken steps to assemble a group of individuals who have the interest, experience, education, and proven follow-through to produce, support and disseminate an effective document of this magnitude. We have solicited assistance from all chiropractic colleges, national organizations and from appropriate individuals from outside the profession. We are building a resource for chiropractic doctors and for others who interact with the chiropractic profession: patients, those considering chiropractic care, other health care providers, insurers, governmental bodies and others. This resource, named the Chiropractic Clinical Compass©, promises to be the most thorough and informative process in its category for chiropractic doctors and other stakeholders to date.
Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation
The Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation (CLEAR) is the premier international resource for professional regulation stakeholders. CLEAR was conceived as a resource for any entity or individual involved in the licensure, non-voluntary certification or registration of the hundreds of regulated occupations and professions.
Councils on Chiropractic Education International
The Councils on Chiropractic Education International (CCEI) is an organization of chiropractic accrediting bodies worldwide. CCEI is committed to excellence in chiropractic education through emphasis on quality in its Model Core Chiropractic Accreditation Standards, and by aiding in the development and recognition of new accrediting bodies in geographic regions where such agencies are not currently recognized.
Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP)
The CCGPP was formed in 1995 at the behest of the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations (COCSA) and with assistance from the American Chiropractic Association, Association of Chiropractic Colleges, Council on Chiropractic Education, Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards, Foundation for the Advancement of Chiropractic Sciences, Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research, International Chiropractors Association, National Association of Chiropractic Attorneys and the National Institute for Chiropractic Research.
The CCGPP’s mission is to provide consistent and widely adopted chiropractic practice information, to perpetually distribute and update this data, as is necessary, so that consumers and others have reliable information on which to base informed health care decisions.
Eastern Mediterranean & Middle East Chiropractic Federation
The Eastern Mediterranean & Middle East Chiropractic Federation (EMME Chiro Fed) is a supranational organization conformed by National Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East Professional Chiropractic Associations.
The EMME Chiro Fed is established to promote the development of Chiropractic in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East area as well as to pursue the interests of Chiropractic as a science and a profession by research, teaching, publications and legal activities.
The European Chiropractors’ Union (ECU) is established to promote the development of Chiropractic in Europe as well as to pursue the interests of Chiropractic as a science and a profession by research, teaching, publications and legal activities.
Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards
The FCLB serves as a non-profit clearinghouse and forum for the discussion of important regulatory issues. The annual conference and district meetings provide an opportunity for a healthy exchange of ideas and viewpoints, as well as unified adoption of resolutions protecting the profession’s examining regulatory standards and ultimately the consumer public. The purpose of the FCLB is to protect the public and to serve our member boards by promoting excellence in chiropractic regulation.
Foundation for Chiropractic Progress
Founded in November 2003 by Kent S. Greenawalt, CEO, Foot Levelers Inc., the not-for-profit Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) educates the public about chiropractic care through positive press. The F4CP Executive Board is comprised of chiropractic leaders, stakeholders and others. CPR Communications, a full-service strategic marketing communications company specializing in healthcare, provides public relations support pro bono.

International Chiropractors Association
Established in 1926 in Davenport, Iowa, USA by Dr. B. J. Palmer, the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) is the world’s oldest international chiropractic professional organization representing practitioners, students, chiropractic assistants, educators and lay persons world-wide. The ICA is dedicated to the growth and development of the chiropractic profession based on Dr. Palmer’s fundamental belief in the principle and philosophy of chiropractic as a unique, separate, distinct and drugless health care profession. ICA’s distinguishing feature today is the same as it was in 1926 – advocating for chiropractic. For nearly 90 years, the ICA has advocated and, when necessary, litigated to support the chiropractic profession and quality patient care. With the support of ICA’s dedicated members and leaders globally, chiropractic is a formally recognized and respected health care choice.
ICA – Council on Chiropractic Pediactrics
The Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics is one of the specialty departments of the International Chiropractors Association. Established in 1993, the Council is a membership organization designed to bring together doctors of chiropractic with a special interest in caring for children and pregnant women and providing them with opportunities, resources, and support to enhance their professional development and expand their clinical skills.

National Board of Chiropractic Examiners

The World Chiropractic Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and strengthening chiropractic around the world. Serving as a “watchdog” and advocacy organization, it places emphasis on education and political action.
World Congress of Chiropractic Students
The World Congress of Chiropractic Student (WCCS) is an international forum representing the chiropractic profession. Active membership consists of over 28,000 students from 32 chiropractic colleges.
In September 1987, at a World Chiropractic Summit convened by the European Chiropractors’ Union in London, England there was agreement that a Presidents’ Committee be formed to inquire into and report upon the formation of a world federation representing national chiropractic associations. The Presidents’ Committee reported and the World Federation of Chiropractic was established in Sydney, Australia on October 2, 1988 at a World Chiropractic Congress organized by the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia. The voting members of the WFC are national associations of chiropractors in 88 countries. The WFC represents them and the chiropractic profession in the international community.
